Rufa Mae Quinto Faces Arrest Warrant for Securities Violation

MANILA, Philippines – Rufa Mae Quinto is currently facing an arrest warrant in connection with her involvement in the company Dermacare, which has also led to actress Neri Miranda facing estafa charges.

Quinto’s lawyer, Mary Louise Reyes, confirmed to ABS-CBN on December 2 that the actress is charged with 14 counts of violating Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code. This section prohibits the sale or offering for sale of securities without proper registration.

Reyes clarified that the arrest warrant is not related to large-scale or syndicated estafa charges, as some initially speculated, but specifically to these securities violations.
