Roy H. Ford Jr. and Alvin B. Dunn Sentenced to Life for Felony Murder and Armed Robbery in Warner Robins

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — Roy H. Ford Jr. and Alvin B. Dunn, two men from Macon, were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for felony murder and armed robbery related to a 2019 incident in Warner Robins.

The convictions stem from a robbery at the Citgo Express Stop on 700 Russell Road Parkway on December 15, 2019. During the four-day jury trial, prosecutors presented evidence that showed Ford robbed the store at gunpoint and shot Navaneetbhai Patel, a 49-year-old employee, while Dunn waited in the getaway car. Witness testimony and DNA evidence linked the defendants to the crime.

Ford and Dunn were arrested just days later on December 20, 2019, following another robbery at a U.S. Postal Office in Bibb County. The Warner Robins Police Department charged the pair with murder and armed robbery. After a guilty verdict on November 21, 2024, Houston County Superior Court Judge G.E. “Bo” Adams sentenced both men to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Assistant District Attorney Ryan English, who helped prosecute the case, thanked the Warner Robins Police Department and other agencies for their efforts in securing justice for Patel’s family.
