Rockingham County Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges Following Extensive Investigation

A 43-year-old man from Stoneville, NC, has been arrested and charged with multiple drug violations following a thorough investigation by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Division. Nicholas Wayne George, of 709 N. Glenn St., was taken into custody on February 25, 2025, facing serious charges related to drug trafficking and possession.

George is charged with two counts of Trafficking Opium/Heroin Level 2, Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. These charges stem from an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, Eden Police Department, Reidsville Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI).

The arrest of George follows a months-long effort to dismantle drug trafficking activities in the region. Upon his arrest, George was brought before a Rockingham County Magistrate and received a $50,000 bond.

Sheriff Sam Page expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort in bringing George to justice. “We appreciate the collaborative efforts of the Eden Police Department, Reidsville Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in addressing this serious issue. Their assistance was vital in bringing this case to a resolution,” Sheriff Page stated.
