Santa Rosa County, Fla. — Robert Slack, 42, of Milton, was arrested after leading deputies on a high-speed chase and is facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking, including methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Slack was under investigation for several months, with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office “Confidential Information” (CI) purchasing drugs from him since September 2024. The investigation revealed that Slack had sold significant quantities of meth and fentanyl over several months.
According to the arrest report, Slack sold:
29 grams of meth in September 2024
28 grams in October 2024
59 grams in October 2024
58 grams in November 2024
6 grams of fentanyl in November 2024
On Wednesday, deputies attempted to stop Slack’s vehicle on Garcon Point Road, but he fled, leading to a high-speed pursuit. The chase ended when officers performed a successful PIT maneuver, causing Slack’s vehicle to crash into a ditch.
A search of Slack and his vehicle resulted in the discovery of over 100 grams of both methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Slack, who has a history of arrests in Santa Rosa County, is now being held in jail without bond. He has served two previous prison sentences for drug-related offenses.
