Robert Duran Charged in Shooting on Chemistry Circle in Ladson

LADSON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office has charged 19-year-old Robert Aden Duran in connection with a shooting that left one man hospitalized.

Duran is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to Lt. Chaz Easterlin.

Deputies were called to the scene on Chemistry Circle in Ladson around 1 a.m. on Friday, where they found evidence of a shooting. Authorities were later informed that a male victim had been taken to a nearby hospital by a family member after suffering a gunshot wound.

Duran is currently being held at the Dorchester County L.C. Knight Detention Center on a $40,000 bond. The investigation is still ongoing.
