Robert Doral Harrod Arrested for Firearm and Cocaine Possession

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, Robert Doral Harrod, 36, of Lexington Park, Maryland, was arrested after a traffic stop by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies.

During proactive patrol on Great Mills Road, deputies observed a traffic violation by a 2020 Ford Escape and initiated a stop. The driver of the vehicle, Talmadge Jones, 51, also of Lexington Park, was found to have an active arrest warrant and was taken into custody.

Harrod, a passenger in the vehicle, attempted to hide both his identity and various items within the vehicle. A search of the car uncovered a loaded handgun and a quantity of cocaine. Investigators determined that Harrod, due to a prior criminal conviction, is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Harrod was arrested and charged with Felony Firearm Possession, Illegal Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Possession of CDS Not Related to Cannabis, and several related charges.

Both Harrod and Jones were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center following their arrests.
