Robert and Edward Nemtzian Arrested in Nutty Irishman Robbery

Two men from Queens, 18-year-old Robert Nemtzian and 23-year-old Edward Nemtzian, are facing charges in connection with a robbery that occurred early Sunday at the Nutty Irishman bar in Farmingdale.

The incident began around 1 a.m. when Robert attempted to enter the bar at 323 Main St. but was denied entry after using a fake ID. Authorities say he then pushed past an employee and took $100 from the top of the cash register. Robert allegedly tried to push the employee to the ground and grab more cash from his hand, but his attempt was unsuccessful.

Robert and Edward fled the scene but were arrested shortly after. Both were charged with robbery, and Robert was also charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. The two men are scheduled to appear for arraignment in Hempstead on Sunday.
