Responding fire units found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames when they arrived at a residence on Providence Chapel Road. According to authorities, the fire started when a BMW caught fire and quickly spread to an adjacent Chevrolet Silverado, eventually consuming multiple vehicles and damaging a carport.

Following an investigation, Alex Farris was arrested and charged with three counts of felony burning of personal property and one count of misdemeanor injury to personal property.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields confirmed the charges in a Tuesday news release. Farris was placed in the Moore County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $15,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 16.
