Road Rage Incident in Malad Kills Akash Maeen, 28

A tragic road rage incident in Malad’s Dindoshi area claimed the life of 28-year-old motorist Akash Maeen, following a violent altercation with an auto-rickshaw driver. The incident occurred on Saturday evening near Pushpa Park, when the auto-rickshaw driver, Avinash Kadam, 32, made a sharp cut while overtaking Maeen’s motorcycle.

The incident occurred while Maeen was on a motorcycle with his wife, visiting his parents in Malad East for the Dussehra celebration. His parents were traveling separately in another auto-rickshaw. Police Inspector Rais Shaikh confirmed that Kadam was arrested, brought to court, and remanded to police custody. Late-night arrests of two more suspects were made, and efforts to locate the remaining suspects continue.
