Rihanna Sues Father Ronald Fenty Over Name Misuse

Rihanna Sues Father Ronald Fenty for Misuse of Her Name

Rihanna is suing her father, Ronald Fenty, accusing him of using her name without permission to promote his business, Fenty Entertainment. The lawsuit claims that Ronald and his business partner misrepresented their company’s affiliation with Rihanna on their website and social media, leading to false public perceptions.

According to the legal documents, Fenty Entertainment attempted to secure a $15 million deal for Rihanna to perform 15 concerts in Latin America, as well as additional shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, all without her consent. Rihanna asserts that although Ronald is her father, he has never had the authority to act on her behalf or use her name for business purposes.

The singer claims that the unauthorized use of her brand has caused damage to her Fenty trademarks and misled the public. Rihanna has previously sent cease-and-desist letters to the company, which were ignored. Now, she is seeking a court order to prevent Fenty Entertainment from using the Fenty name again and is also pursuing damages for the harm caused.
