MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Rickey Benson, 49, was arrested overnight after allegedly stealing goods from a Target store in East Memphis. Officers responded to an alarm at the Colonial Road location around midnight on May 3, prompting a search for the suspect.
A K9 unit was called to assist, and officers observed surveillance footage showing Benson leaving the store. He was found behind a nearby dumpster, in possession of stolen merchandise.
Benson faces charges of burglary and theft of property valued at $1,000 or less.
