“Richard Vincent Willis Arrested in SC for Child Exploitation”

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Richard Vincent Willis Jr., 54, of Summerville, South Carolina, has been arrested after authorities discovered that he was in possession of child sexual abuse materials.

The South Carolina Attorney General, Alan Wilson, announced that Willis is facing 19 felony charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors in the third degree. The investigation was launched after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted law enforcement about potential illegal content.

Authorities conducted a search and confirmed that Willis had files containing child sexual abuse materials. He was arrested on Thursday and booked into the L.C. Knight Detention Center, where he was assigned a bond totaling $28,500 across all charges.

Each of the 19 felony charges carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison, meaning Willis could face a maximum of 190 years behind bars if convicted.

This case highlights ongoing efforts to combat the exploitation of minors and bring those responsible to justice.
