Richard Fluegel Jr. Charged with Murder After Father’s Death

A Livingston County man, Richard Fluegel Jr., is facing serious charges after bringing his father’s body to the Livingston County Government Center. Fluegel, 30, has been charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm, and evidence tampering following the apparent gunshot death of his father.

Fluegel reportedly called 911 from the parking lot of the Government Center, informing authorities that he wanted to turn in his father’s body. Upon arriving, police found that the victim had suffered gunshot wounds, prompting an investigation in both Livingston and Monroe Counties, where the father lived.

Both local police departments are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. Authorities are working to determine the details of the shooting and the events leading up to the father’s death. Fluegel remains in custody as the investigation continues.
