Reno Man Robert Railey Arrested for Alleged Participation in Theft Ring

VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (KOLO) — A Reno man, Robert Railey, 50, was arrested on Tuesday by the Storey County Sheriff’s Office for his alleged involvement in a retail theft ring, along with several other charges. Railey faces two charges of residential burglary, one count of attempting to participate in the retail theft ring, and one count of grand larceny of a motor vehicle.

Railey’s arrest followed an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred in November 2023 in the Virginia City Highlands. His connection to the theft ring and additional criminal activities were uncovered during the course of the investigation.

Railey has been booked into the Storey County Detention Facility with a total bail of $75,000. Authorities are continuing their investigation, which may lead to further charges or suspects related to the retail theft ring.
