Ravindra Prasad Singh Arrested in Siliguri for Role in Tablet Scam

Ravindra Prasad Singh, a youth from Kishanganj, Bihar, was arrested by the Burdwan Cyber Crime Police on the night of Wednesday, in connection with an ongoing investigation into a tablet scam that has led to significant financial losses. Singh, who operated a customer service center in Chopra, Bihar, is accused of facilitating fund transfers linked to the scam and receiving substantial payments in return.

The scam came to light after a complaint was filed in Burdwan regarding missing funds, which were traced back to fraudulent transactions linked to the sale of counterfeit tablets. Authorities believe that Singh played a key role by acting as an intermediary for the scam network, helping to move funds between involved parties.

Singh is accused of facilitating the transfer of money in exchange for a cut of the ill-gotten gains. He was hiding in Siliguri, West Bengal, when he was apprehended by the police from Devidanga, under the jurisdiction of Pradhan Nagar Police Station.
