DOVER, Del. – The Delaware State Police arrested 45-year-old Randolph Shockley of Magnolia on January 29, 2025, for his 6th offense DUI and several related charges following a pursuit in Dover.
Around 5:14 p.m., a state trooper observed a Dodge Charger speeding southbound on Bay Road near Dover Air Force Base. When the trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, Shockley, refused to pull over, leading to a high-speed pursuit. Shockley committed multiple traffic violations during the chase before eventually stopping on Barkers Landing Road after stop sticks were deployed.
Upon arrest, Shockley showed signs of impairment. A records check revealed that he was driving with a revoked license and had five previous DUI-related convictions.
Shockley was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with multiple offenses, including:
6th Offense DUI (Felony)
Disregarding a Police Officer Signal (Felony)
Driving While Suspended or Revoked
Reckless Driving
Speeding
Numerous Traffic Violations
After an arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Shockley was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a secured bond of $24,007.
