Two individuals were apprehended by the UT Police for possessing illegal drugs, including heroin and banned vials, in the city.
Ranbir Singh, a 28-year-old resident of Malerkotla, Punjab, was arrested near Rally Ground, Sector 25, after he was found in possession of 6 grams of heroin. A case has been registered against him at Sector 11 police station.
In a separate incident, Vinay Sharma, 32, from Sector 38, was arrested near his residence for carrying 6.90 grams of heroin and four vials of banned substances.
Both cases are under investigation, and the police have confirmed that legal action will be pursued against the arrested individuals.
