Raju Tirki Arrested for Attempted ATM Theft in Mapusa

Goa Police have arrested Raju Tirki, a 26-year-old resident of Chhattisgarh, for attempting to steal cash from an ATM located at Xavier Complex, Alto, Mapusa.

According to officials, Tirki used a metal rod to force entry into the ATM kiosk and made an attempt to break open the machine. However, his efforts to access the cash-loaded ATM were unsuccessful.

The incident was quickly reported and Mapusa police took prompt action, leading to Tirki’s arrest. He is currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway to determine whether he was acting alone or part of a larger network.

This incident highlights the importance of upgraded ATM surveillance and rapid police response in preventing financial crimes.
