Rajat Paul Arrested with 36.03 Grams of Suspected Heroin in Ri-Bhoi

In a successful operation by the Ri-Bhoi District Executive Force (DEF), a man was arrested on Thursday for possessing 36.03 grams of suspected heroin. The arrest took place after credible intelligence led the police to intercept the accused, Rajat Paul (29), while he was traveling from Guwahati to Shillong.

Rajat Paul, a resident of Bhawraguri in Chirang district, Assam, was traveling in a tourist taxi when the police stopped him. Upon searching his belongings, they recovered the suspected contraband.

The authorities are investigating the source of the drugs and the intended destination, as this operation marks another significant step in combating drug trafficking in the region. Rajat Paul is currently in custody as the investigation continues.
