In a significant crackdown on an international MLM fraud, Rajasthan Police raided the operations of the banned Hong Kong-based Q-NET Vihan company, notorious for running a pyramid scheme. The police arrested 17 representatives who were involved in deceiving individuals by promising them quick wealth through fraudulent investment opportunities. The scam targeted individuals with false assurances of becoming millionaires, encouraging them to purchase overpriced products and send Indian currency abroad under the pretense of money circulation.
During the raid, authorities seized several luxury cars, including a Mercedes and MG Hector, along with two laptops, an iPad, 20 mobile phones, and multiple debit and credit cards from various banks. Police also recovered documents, books, and diaries used by the fraudsters to convince their victims they could lead luxurious lives if they invested in the scheme.
The Q-NET Vihan company exploited working professionals, charging processing fees ranging from Rs50,000 to Rs2 lakh and luring them with social media videos depicting a lavish lifestyle. In return, victims were promised large commissions for enrolling others into the pyramid scheme.
The scam was exposed when victims filed complaints at the Vidyadhar Nagar Police Station. Based on the complaints, the police raided the company’s regional offices and arrested the 17 fraudsters. The mastermind, Vinod Saran, was identified as the key figure behind the operation in Jaipur, with his associates Premanand Sangwan and Amol Shivaji. They had expanded the scheme across states like Haryana, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.
The police are currently interrogating the arrested individuals to uncover the full extent of the scam and the network involved. Further revelations are expected as the investigation continues.
