Rajasthan Police Arrest Former RPSC Official in Paper Leak Case

The Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested Ramuram Raika, a former official at the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), for allegedly leaking the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment question paper to his children. His daughter, Shobha, and son, Devesh, secured the 5th and 40th ranks in the recruitment exam, respectively.

The alleged scam came to light after the SOG conducted dummy interviews, which raised suspicions about the integrity of the recruitment process. In addition to Raika’s children, three other trainees were also arrested for their involvement in the paper leak case.

On Sunday, all five accused were presented in court, where they were remanded to police custody until September 7. They were apprehended at the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) and brought to the SOG office for further questioning.

Raika is expected to be presented in court on Monday to seek police remand. To date, the SOG has arrested a total of 63 individuals connected to the SI recruitment paper leak, including 37 selected candidates. Among these, 33 were undergoing training as station house officers, while three others were selected but did not join.

Despite attempts to evade capture, the group remains under the scrutiny of the SOG as investigations continue.
