Rajasthan Police have arrested several cyber fraudsters in separate operations targeting sextortion and job scams. The police also seized mobile phones used in these crimes, further strengthening their crackdown on cyber fraud.
According to SP Sanjeev Nain, a special campaign against cyber fraud is currently underway in the district. A dedicated team led by ASP Tejpal Singh and DSP Traffic Mukesh Chaudhary has been formed to ensure the success of the campaign.
As part of these efforts, SHO Laxmangarh, Neki Ram, and his team raided Teliyawas Tan Maujpur village on January 30, arresting Sabir Khan and Sahil Khan. The police seized two mobile phones, a Bolero car, and a bike during the raid. However, three other suspects—Barish Mev (21), Abbas Mev (35), and Mubarak Mev (19)—managed to escape but were later apprehended from Teliya Ka Bas, Laxmangarh. These individuals were involved in creating explicit videos and blackmailing victims through fake social media profiles using fraudulent SIM cards.
In another operation, SHO Govindgarh, Bane Singh, and his team raided Indpur village after gathering intelligence and using technical surveillance. The raid led to the arrest of Jafaru Mev (27), who was responsible for deceiving people with fake job offers for pen and pencil packing. The police recovered an Android mobile phone from his possession. SP Nain confirmed that efforts to crack down on cyber fraud are ongoing, and authorities are committed to bringing all perpetrators to justice.
