Rafik Ali Arrested in Borni Shantipur with Heroin and Cattle Theft Links

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the police in Borni Shantipur apprehended Rafik Ali, a suspected drug supplier, during an intensive anti-drug operation. Ali, who had long been suspected of running a local drug network, was found in possession of 23 containers filled with a substance believed to be heroin powder, cleverly concealed inside his jacket.

Along with the drugs, the police seized Rs 5,210 in cash, a mobile phone, and a luxury four-wheeler (registration number AS-01AA 2115), which was reportedly linked to incidents of cattle theft. This discovery raised further concerns about Ali’s involvement in multiple illegal activities, adding to the long-standing suspicions among local residents.

The arrest follows months of surveillance, during which authorities had received numerous complaints from the community about Ali’s suspected role in drug trafficking. Investigators are now focused on uncovering more details about his drug supply network and the extent of his operations.

Police officials have confirmed that Rafik Ali is under interrogation, with further inquiries underway to identify other individuals involved in the network and explore any additional connections to criminal activities, including cattle theft.

This arrest marks a major success in the fight against drug trafficking in the region, with authorities vowing to continue their efforts to dismantle drug supply chains and other forms of organized crime.
