Quick Police Response Leads to Arrests in Wildcat Chevrolet Theft Attempt

CADIZ, Ky. – Wildcat Chevrolet General Manager Michael Oliver credited the swift action of local law enforcement for the recent arrests of two suspects attempting to steal a truck from the dealership.

The arrests occurred early Monday morning after the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the potential theft by Wildcat Chevrolet security officials. Sheriff Aaron Acree reported that 27-year-old Deshaun Sims-Dials and 20-year-old Elgie Holmes, both from Texas, were taken into custody and charged in connection with the incident.

Oliver noted the quick response from both the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department and the Cadiz Police Department was crucial in apprehending the suspects. This incident marks the second vehicle theft attempt at Wildcat Chevrolet this month. Oliver mentioned that the dealership is not the only one being targeted.

While customers have expressed concerns about the heightened security measures at the dealership after hours, Oliver emphasized the necessity of these precautions. He added that local law enforcement is actively monitoring the area due to the recent thefts.

Both suspects are currently being held in the Christian County Jail.
