Quentin Price Arrested After Domestic Violence Incident in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A suspect has been arrested following a domestic violence incident in Augusta that ended with the victim shooting him in self-defense, authorities reported Thursday.

Gunshot Victim’s Story Unravels
Deputies responded to the Wellstar MCH hospital emergency room at 12:38 a.m. Thursday after reports of a gunshot wound victim. There, they met Quentin Price, 35, of Augusta, who claimed he had been shot by an unknown person while sitting in a field.

However, investigators soon uncovered a domestic violence incident that had occurred earlier at a residence on Blackmon Court.

Attack & Self-Defense Shooting
Authorities say Price was involved in a physical altercation with the victim inside her home. The victim managed to escape and lock herself in a bedroom, but Price, armed with a firearm, allegedly tried to force his way inside.

Fearing for her safety, the victim retrieved her own firearm from a safe and fired through the door, striking Price in the upper arm.

Arrest & Charges
Deputies had been searching for Price and took him into custody shortly after. He has been booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center on the following charges:

Kidnapping
False imprisonment
Terroristic threats and acts
Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Authorities say the case remains under investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
