Quajon Houcks Arrested for Shooting Teenager Angello Reyes

DENVER (KKTV) – After almost a year of evading law enforcement, Denver police have apprehended Quajon Houcks, the man suspected of shooting and killing a teenager during a robbery.

The tragic incident occurred in broad daylight on October 12, 2023. According to police, Houcks attempted to rob 17-year-old Angello Reyes, leading to a brief struggle that escalated into a fatal shooting. Reyes’s body was discovered off Elmira Street in Aurora, but the robbery took place over a mile away at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Dallas Street in Denver.

Following extensive investigation, police identified Houcks as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest in July. On August 1, 2024, the Denver Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, in collaboration with the Special Operations Response Team, successfully located and arrested Houcks. He now faces charges of second-degree murder.
