Pune Police Arrest Trio Involved in Robbery of Gold Chain

Pune City Police’s Crime Branch Unit-2 successfully apprehended three individuals involved in a robbery that occurred on February 3, 2025, in the Faraskhana Police Station area. The suspects were caught after they used a fake argument to distract a woman and steal her gold chain.

A police team, led by Police Inspector Pratap Mankar, launched an investigation after receiving details about the incident. Officers Nagesh Rakh, Pushpendra Chavan, Nikhil Jadhav, and others assisted in the probe. The police worked swiftly, gathering descriptions of the suspects and conducting a technical investigation.

On February 8, 2025, the authorities successfully tracked down the accused—25-year-old Samir aka Sam Razzak Sheikh, 19-year-olds Somnath Kalidas Pawar and Ashram Raju Mulla. They were arrested with the stolen gold chain, valued at Rs1.65 lakh, and two motorcycles used in the crime.
