Pune Police Arrest Three for Possession of Drugs Worth Rs19.45 Lakh

Acting on a tip-off, Pune city police anti-narcotics cell 1 arrested three individuals in Narhe Ambegaon area on Monday for possessing illegal drugs worth approximately Rs19.45 lakh. The drugs seized included OG Kush Ganja, MD (Mephedrone), and LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide).

The arrested individuals have been identified as Anshul Santosh Mishra (27) from Buldhana, Aarsh Udya Vyas (25) from Ghatkopar East, and Piyush Sharad Ingale (22) from Chikhali in Chinchwad.

The arrest followed a tip-off received by Police Amaldar (station officer) Sandeep Shirke, who was informed about suspicious individuals allegedly selling drugs near Bhumkar Chowk Narhe. Acting swiftly, the anti-narcotics cell set up a trap near Shree Lodge, close to the Ghod Nadikar Tower building, where the trio was detained.

Upon searching the suspects, the police seized 251 grams of OG Kush Ganja, 15 grams of MD (Mephedrone), and 62 grams of LSD, all of which are illegal drugs commonly used for recreational purposes. The total worth of the seized drugs has been estimated at Rs19.45 lakh.

The arrested individuals have been booked under relevant sections for possession and trafficking of narcotic substances. Police are continuing their investigation into the source and distribution of the drugs.
