Pune Police Arrest Arun Ashok Arora in Rs43.87 Lakh Drug Bust

The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pune successfully arrested Arun Ashok Arora, a 50-year-old resident of Pritam Heights, Katraj, on Friday for his involvement in the illegal sale of narcotics. The arrest was made in the Bharati Vidyapeeth area, and drugs worth Rs43.87 lakh were seized.

The operation began when Assistant Police Inspector Nitinkumar Naik and his team from the Anti-Narcotics Cell were on patrol in the area. Based on a tip-off provided by police constable Yogesh Mandhre, the officers laid a trap and detained Arora.

Upon investigation, police recovered 2.14 kg of charas and 1.79 kg of ganja, along with additional items, which brought the total value of the seized drugs to Rs43.87 lakh.

A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Arora at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. Further investigation into the drug trafficking network is ongoing.
