Pune Manager Duped in ₹3.45 Lakh Visa Scam by Haryana Fraudster

A high-ranking official in a private company was defrauded of lakhs of rupees under the guise of providing visas and flight tickets for trips to Dubai and Singapore. The fraudulent activities took place between September 30, 2023, and May 8, 2024, with the accused operating from Haryana. The Chatushrungi police have since registered a case regarding this matter.

The accused has been identified as Sumit Kartarsingh Deshwal, a resident of Adarsh Colony in Palwal, Haryana. The complaint was filed by Sanjeev Kumar Kesardas Arora, a 53-year-old manager at a company that manufactures various items for security forces. Arora, who serves as the Asia Continent Head, intended to take his wife and son on a trip to Singapore and Dubai to celebrate his wedding anniversary.

Arora learned about Deshwal through a friend, who recommended his travel company, “Ready to Fly Holidays.” After reaching out to Deshwal, Arora was assured of smooth arrangements, which led him to trust the accused.

Between September and May, Deshwal extorted Rs3.45 lakh from Arora under various pretexts, claiming to secure flight tickets and visas. However, he failed to pay for the airline tickets, leading to their cancellation, and no visas were issued despite receiving the funds.

When Arora realized he had been scammed, he sought reimbursement from Deshwal, who ignored his requests. Arora even visited Deshwal’s home in Palwal, but the accused refused to meet him.

Following this, Arora filed a complaint with the Chatushrungi police. Investigating Officer and Assistant Inspector Raj Kendre stated that they contacted Haryana Police for further information regarding the case.
