Pueblo Man Arrested After Fleeing Robbery Scene and False Identification

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Anthony C. Loudy, 36, was arrested by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Tuesday, Dec. 17, after fleeing the scene of a robbery and being identified as a fugitive with a felony warrant.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., deputies responded to a shoplifting call at a Dollar General store on Santa Fe Drive near South Aspen Road in Pueblo. An employee reported a suspicious man who was believed to be concealing an item in his coat. When deputies arrived, they saw a man matching the description, later identified as Loudy.

Loudy left the store and began walking westbound, but when he noticed the deputy, he ran and attempted to climb a fence. Despite commands to stop, Loudy initially complied but then ran again while being questioned. The deputy used a taser to subdue Loudy and took him into custody.

After being arrested, Loudy provided two false names, but his fingerprints led to his identification. Deputies learned that Loudy was wanted by the Colorado Department of Corrections on a felony warrant.

A search of Loudy revealed several stolen items from the Dollar General. He was charged with criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, theft, and booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
