Puducherry Police Arrest 20-Year-Old with 4.12 kg Ganja at Bus Stand

In a significant drug bust, Puducherry police arrested a 20-year-old youth, Sithanandhan, and seized 4.12 kg of ganja during an operation near the temporary bus stand in the Union Territory.

The arrest was made by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), who had been surveilling the area after receiving information about the drug trade. The accused, a resident of Arumparthapuram, was waiting at the bus stand to hand over the concealed ganja, which was hidden in a travel bag, to his associate.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, Law and Order, R. Kalaivannan confirmed the arrest and the seizure of the drugs, highlighting the police’s continuous efforts to tackle narcotics trafficking in the region.

The investigation is ongoing as the police work to identify the associate and uncover further links in the drug distribution network.
