Preston Lee Goodwin Arrested for Vehicle Theft in Oxford

Oxford, MS – Preston Lee Goodwin, 46, of Courtland, has been arrested and charged with vehicle theft after Oxford police linked him to a stolen car through security footage.

On July 23, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Bramlett Boulevard. Surveillance footage captured a suspicious male, later identified as Goodwin, entering the vehicle and driving away.

Detectives later recovered the stolen car in Panola County, along with another vehicle stolen from Water Valley. The Panola County Sheriff’s Office and the Water Valley Police Department assisted in the investigation.

Goodwin now faces vehicle theft charges, with additional charges pending in multiple jurisdictions. A Municipal Court judge has set his bond as the case continues to develop.
