Prattville Man Tyler Paul Arrested for Burglary and Theft

Tyler Paul, 27, faces charges after police found stolen items.

Tyler Paul, a 27-year-old resident of Prattville, was arrested on Thursday and charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree theft, and possession of burglary tools. Paul was booked into the Elmore County Jail under a $30,000 bond.

The arrest occurred around 2 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, when Millbrook police officers were patrolling the area near the 2000 block of Downing Street. Officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked near a storage facility. Upon making contact with the individual inside, who claimed to be searching for discarded items in dumpsters, the officers noticed locks that appeared to have been cut and were visible inside the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that a storage unit had been broken into and items were removed. Tyler Paul was then taken into custody and charged with the crimes.

This arrest is part of ongoing efforts by Millbrook law enforcement to combat burglary and theft in the area. The investigation is continuing.
