Portland Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting Case: Rodney Marcus Arreguin

PORTLAND, Ore. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Portland that occurred in late April.

Rodney Marcus Arreguin, 42, was arrested Saturday morning and charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).

The incident occurred on April 27, when officers responded to reports of a shooting near South Harbor Drive and South Harrison Street at approximately 10:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 44-year-old Joshua Manahan with a gunshot wound. Manahan was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

The medical examiner confirmed that Manahan’s death was a homicide caused by a gunshot wound.

Police notified Manahan’s family of the arrest, and the investigation into the shooting continues.
