Police Seek Gordon Fletcher in Havelock Assault Investigation

Peterborough OPP are actively searching for Gordon Fletcher, a 31-year-old man from Trent Hills, in connection with a violent assault that occurred in Havelock, Ontario. The incident, which took place on November 12, 2024, involved a confrontation at a residence on Ottawa Street. According to the complainant, three individuals arrived at the residence, where they participated in the assault before leaving in a vehicle, making threats to return and inflict further harm.

On November 13, 2024, Rodney Libby, 39, of Havelock, and Shannon McGuire, 39, of Eganville, were arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. Both were released and are scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 17, 2024.

However, Gordon Fletcher remains at large and is now wanted by the OPP on multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a firearm, robbery with a firearm, and uttering threats. Fletcher is described as 6 feet tall, 190 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent areas around Peterborough County and Northumberland.

The OPP urges the public to remain vigilant, especially given that a weapon was involved in the assault. Authorities believe this was an isolated incident, but are asking anyone with information on Fletcher’s whereabouts to contact police.

Public safety is a priority, and anyone who may encounter Fletcher or have information on his location is encouraged to contact the Peterborough OPP immediately.
