A daring scam led by a bald man and his associates was foiled by police after a series of complaints surfaced regarding severe allergic reactions to a so-called “miracle hair growth oil.”
The scam was unraveled when Shadab, a victim, reported suffering from intense scalp irritation after using the hair oil, which was marketed as a solution for hair loss. His complaint sparked an investigation that led to the discovery of a widespread fraudulent operation involving fake hair oil being sold in several states, including Meerut, Delhi, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
Authorities swiftly intervened, arresting the three key perpetrators: Imran, Salman, and Sameer. These individuals had been deceiving consumers by falsely claiming that their product could regenerate hair, reaping large sums of money from unsuspecting buyers.
The investigation revealed a well-organized scam in which the culprits made false claims, offering miraculous results to bald individuals and those suffering from hair thinning. The fraudulent product was sold with promises of quick hair regrowth, despite the lack of scientific evidence or results.
Victims, many of whom experienced severe scalp irritation and discomfort, were left with medical issues, prompting the authorities to take swift action. Police are continuing to investigate the full extent of the scam, with plans to track down additional individuals involved in the distribution network.
The scam has drawn attention to the growing problem of deceptive health and beauty products, with authorities urging consumers to be cautious when purchasing treatments online or from unverified sources.
