Police Arrest Four in Ganjam Gold Theft Case, Recover Stolen Items

Police in Ganjam district have arrested four individuals linked to a burglary that involved the theft of gold jewelry, cash, and household items from a home in the Ralaba Road area under Golanthara Police Station.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Bikash Bisoyi (23) and Silu Nayak (21), both from Bhismagiri; Kalia Behera (21) of Bichhapata; and Saras Kumar Nayak (32) from Borosingi.

The burglary took place on December 12, 2024, at the residence of Surya Narayana Achary (48). The culprits broke into the house, stealing valuable gold and silver ornaments, along with a large sum of money.

Following the report of the crime, the police were able to arrest the suspects based on reliable leads. During the investigation, they recovered the stolen items, including the gold ornaments, from the suspects’ possession, with witnesses present.
