PLYMOUTH, Ind. — On the night of December 21, 2024, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Plymouth Police responded to a call about a vehicle theft at a local Pizza Hut. The vehicle was reported to have been left running in the parking lot when the theft occurred.
The next day, around 12:45 a.m., Marshall County dispatch received a 911 call from the vehicle’s owner, who had located the vehicle still in the possession of the suspect. Plymouth Police and Marshall County Deputies responded to the area and attempted to pull over the vehicle. A short pursuit ensued before the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Raudel Martinez-Huizar of Plymouth, surrendered to authorities without further incident.
Martinez-Huizar was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He faces several charges, including Vehicle Theft (Level 6 Felony), Resisting Law Enforcement (Level 6 Felony), and Driving While Suspended-Prior (A-Misdemeanor). He was granted a cash bond of $1,505.
As per law, Martinez-Huizar is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
