A former pilot for a business owned by John Travolta has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $800,000, and authorities are searching for a second suspect.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested Jean Lacruz-Romero, 28, of St. Cloud, Florida, on Friday on multiple charges, including:
Money laundering over $100,000
Organized fraud over $50,000
Grand theft over $100,000
Authorities have also issued an arrest warrant for Jorden Coursey, who is wanted for grand theft.
Fraud at John Travolta’s Business
The investigation began on December 29 when deputies responded to Constellation Productions, a company located inside Jumbolair Aviation Estates, regarding suspected fraud. State records confirm that John Travolta is an officer and director of Constellation Productions, Inc.
Lacruz-Romero, a pilot for the company, was issued an American Express business credit card to cover fuel and other aviation expenses. However, authorities allege that he misused the card for personal gain, ultimately leading to his termination and arrest.
Ongoing Investigation
While Lacruz-Romero is now in custody, deputies are actively searching for Jorden Coursey, who remains at large.
If convicted, Lacruz-Romero faces significant prison time for his role in the alleged fraud. Authorities urge anyone with information on Coursey’s whereabouts to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
