Pikeville Man Donnie McClanahan Arrested for $25K Theft

PIKEVILLE, KY — A Pike County man, Donnie McClanahan, 34, of Pikeville, was arrested after allegedly stealing more than $25,000 worth of items while working as a painter for a local doctor. Police say McClanahan was hired to do some painting work on Tuesday but used the opportunity to steal valuable items from the doctor’s property.

On Thursday, officers arrested McClanahan, but not before he allegedly led them on a foot chase. As a result of his actions, he was also charged with fleeing police, resisting arrest, and wanton endangerment.

McClanahan is currently being held at the Pike County Detention Center on a $5,000 full cash bond
