A 36-year-old physiotherapist, Mirza Sheraz Aki Baig, was arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly defrauding a shopkeeper in GK-2 by making a fraudulent Paytm payment for clothing worth Rs 30,000. The incident was reported at the C.R. Park Police Station after the shopkeeper filed a complaint.
The accused, a resident of Neb Sarai, Delhi, was captured following an in-depth investigation. This included reviewing CCTV footage and employing technical surveillance, which led to his arrest. According to the complaint, Baig had purchased four T-shirts, two lowers, and a sneaker care pack from a clothing store located in M-Block Main Market, Greater Kailash-2, on February 3.
Police records show that Baig, who operates as a physiotherapist offering home visits, had been involved in two previous criminal cases in Mehrauli related to cheating and theft. After his arrest, the stolen goods were recovered. The diligent work of the C.R. Park Police team, led by SHO W/Inspr Vandana Rao and ACP C.R.
