Phnom Penh Couple Arrested for $40,000 Fraud

The Phnom Penh Municipal Criminal Police Office has arrested a couple accused of committing fraud amounting to $40,000. On May 7, 2024, police apprehended Chea Sam Ath, 43, and Keo Sivly, 31, near their residence on Street 15 in Mol Village, Phnom Penh.

Under the arrest warrant issued by Deputy Prosecutor Seng Meng Srun of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, the couple faces charges of equipment trafficking and fraud committed across Phnom Penh in 2023 and April 2024.

The suspects are currently in custody as the investigation continues, with authorities focusing on retrieving any misappropriated funds.
