ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 42-year-old Pensacola woman, Jessica Ann Haley, was arrested last Friday after being found with a trafficking amount of fentanyl and other drugs, according to law enforcement reports.

Haley was taken into custody and is currently being held in jail without bond on the following charges:
Trafficking fentanyl (first-degree felony)
Trafficking amphetamine
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of marijuana
Details of the Arrest
According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO), a deputy observed Haley walking improperly on Edison Drive—on the wrong side of the road, with the flow of traffic—while carrying a black backpack.
The deputy activated emergency lights and stopped her. During questioning, Haley reportedly admitted that she might have “dope” in the bag, which she claimed belonged to a friend.
Drugs Seized
Upon searching Haley’s backpack, deputies discovered:
12 grams of fentanyl (purple powdery substance)
3 grams of methamphetamine
84 amphetamine pills (weighing approximately 36.6 grams)
2.9 grams of marijuana
No Bond Due to Fentanyl Trafficking Charge
Due to the severity of the trafficking fentanyl charge—classified as a first-degree felony—Haley was denied bond and remains in Escambia County Jail as she awaits her next court appearance.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
