Pearl River’s Mark Inman Jr. Arrested for Livestock Theft

A Pearl River man, Mark Deon Inman Jr., surrendered to the Pearl River County Jail on Monday after two felony false pretense warrants were issued against him.

Authorities launched a multi-agency investigation in 2021 after Windy Hills Beefmaster Ranch in Poplarville reported stolen livestock to the Mississippi Agriculture and Livestock Theft Bureau (MALTB). Investigators later determined that Inman, a former ranch employee, had allegedly sold the livestock while posing as a representative of the ranch, but kept the profits for himself instead of turning them over to the business.

MALTB Director Dean Barnard confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected. The case has involved cooperation between the MALTB, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, and 15th Circuit District Attorney Hal Kittrell’s Office.
