Patwari and Three Others Booked for Land Fraud in Jabalpur

Four individuals, including Rajendra Kunje, a Patwari, have been booked for allegedly usurping a farmer’s land using fake documents in Jabalpur’s Chargawan area. The accused, including Kunje, Mukhtar Singh Gaur, his brother Athai, Ramprasad, and their relative Hakam Singh, falsely declared farmer Halke Prasad Gaur deceased in official records.

Leveraging this forged information, the accused registered the 14-acre land in their names and began cultivating it. The fraudulent act came to light when Halke Prasad’s family, following his actual death, went to the Patwari’s office to transfer the land. Shanti Bai, his wife, was shocked to discover that the land had already been transferred to Mukhtar Singh and the others in 2016.

Upon learning of the fraudulent land transfer, Shanti Bai filed a complaint with the Chargawan police. The authorities are now investigating the matter, and action is being taken against the individuals involved in the forgery and illegal land transfer.
