Patterson, CA — A 34-year-old Patterson man, Javier Suarez, was arrested on Monday in connection with the theft of a Kawasaki Gator Cart from Northmead Elementary School. The arrest was made after Patterson Police Services executed a search warrant at a residence on Shearwater Dr.
The theft of the school district’s gator cart occurred on January 26, and the search warrant was issued based on the investigation. At the home, deputies found not only the stolen Gator Cart but also a firearm and methamphetamine. Suarez was arrested on charges of vandalism, vehicle theft, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
During the search, deputies also discovered Janet Rodriguez at the residence. Rodriguez reportedly was not forthcoming about Suarez’s presence, with clear indications that she knew he was there. She was arrested on charges of harboring a fugitive, child endangerment, and possession of methamphetamine, with the drugs found near her 8-year-old daughter’s belongings.
