Patrick Kyle Joyce Arrested After Drug Bust in New Bern Yields Meth, Marijuana, and Fentanyl

NEW BERN, N.C. — A New Bern man is facing multiple felony drug charges following a raid that uncovered over 150 grams of illegal narcotics at a residence on Tatum Drive.

The Craven County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), with assistance from the New Bern Police Department, executed a search warrant on Saturday, April 19, after an investigation by the CCSO’s K-9 Unit and Special Investigations Bureau revealed narcotics activity at the residence.

During the search, authorities seized approximately:

62 grams of methamphetamine

122 grams of marijuana

An undisclosed quantity of fentanyl

Various items associated with drug distribution

Patrick Kyle Joyce, 42, was arrested at the scene and charged with the following:

Trafficking in Methamphetamine

Two counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance

Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance

Felony Possession of Marijuana

Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for the Use or Sale of Controlled Substances

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Joyce was held without bond due to outstanding charges in unrelated cases. His first court appearance was scheduled for Monday, April 21.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
