Patiala Police Arrest Raghabir Singh and Malkit Singh in Navneet Singh’s Murder Case

The Patiala Police made a breakthrough in the murder of Navneet Singh (alias Novi), solving the case within 48 hours of the crime. The murder occurred on November 29 at the Ghalori Gate Cremation Ground, where two masked assailants shot Navneet Singh. The police swiftly identified and arrested the suspects, Raghabir Singh (alias Mithu), 67, from Patiala, and Malkit Singh, 67, from Ludhiana.

The investigation led to the recovery of a .32 bore revolver, 10 rounds of ammunition, a .315 bore rifle, and 4 rounds of ammunition, along with a Maruti car used in the crime.

The police revealed that the motive behind the murder was a property dispute. Navneet Singh was the adopted son of the late Hardeep Singh Tiwana, who had willed part of his property, including a hotel in Dharampur, to Navneet. However, Raghabir Singh, Hardeep’s brother, disputed this will and claimed ownership of the property. This ongoing dispute reportedly escalated into the violent confrontation that led to Navneet’s death.

The two arrested individuals are now in police custody as investigations continue.
