Pascaline Peter, aka Passy Ma Trevor, Arrested for Sh350 Million Real Estate Scam

By Clinton Nyabuto

A woman identified as Pascaline Peter, also known by the alias Passy Ma Trevor, has been arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for allegedly defrauding Kenyans of approximately Sh350 million through a fake real estate investment scheme.

The arrest, made on September 12, followed an extensive investigation that uncovered her role in orchestrating a large-scale fraud targeting more than 200 victims. According to the DCI, Peter convinced her victims to deposit large sums of money into bank accounts across Equity Bank, Coop Bank, Stanbic Bank, and Kingdom Bank, promising them up to 30 percent monthly returns on their investments.

The 36-year-old suspect, who is believed to have run a fake real estate business, used the illusion of a successful property enterprise to lure unsuspecting individuals into her scheme. After collecting substantial sums from her victims, Peter would switch off her phone and go into hiding, leaving them unable to recover their funds.

As the DCI explained, Peter‘s flashy lifestyle, which she frequently showcased on her social media platforms, further helped her deceive people into trusting her investment promises. Her fraudulent activities prompted over 106 formal complaints to the DCI, with losses totaling hundreds of millions of shillings.

Following the complaints, the DCI launched a manhunt for Peter, eventually locating and arresting her in Kantafu, Machakos County. The authorities are now urging the public to remain vigilant, cautioning against similar fraudulent schemes that often prey on people’s desire for quick financial returns.

Pascaline Peter‘s arrest brings a sense of relief to the victims, who can now hope for justice after months of financial loss and uncertainty.
